Product Description

Industrial Kaolin Clay Noodles are high-quality, versatile raw materials ideal for various industrial applications. These finely processed clay noodles are known for their exceptional purity, smooth texture, and consistent performance. Used predominantly in ceramics, paint production, rubber, and paper industries, Kaolin clay enhances product durability and finish. Their unique noodle form ensures easy handling and precise mixing in manufacturing processes. With excellent dispersion properties, it improves the quality of end products by adding brightness, opacity, and a smooth surface. Reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, these Kaolin clay noodles are a key ingredient for modern industrial needs.

Kaolinite - A Versatile Alumino-Silicate Mineral
Kaolinite is a naturally occurring clay mineral, classified under alumino-silicates. Often known as "China Clay," it derives its name from the Kao-Lin region in China, where it was first identified. The broader term "kaolin" refers to a family of common clay minerals, primarily composed of kaolinite, and typically formed through the weathering of feldspars and micas.

Known for its inert properties, China Clay is a vital industrial raw material, frequently used as a filler in various products and blended with other substances in diverse manufacturing processes.

Quality You Can Trust
At the core of our operations is an unwavering commitment to quality. Our robust Quality Management System employs stringent testing protocols at every step-from mineral extraction to final product delivery. We focus not just on meeting standards but on enhancing value by optimizing processes and managing costs effectively.

Q-BO Kaolin (China Clay) is produced to meet strict industry-specific specifications. Each batch is thoroughly tested for essential properties to ensure consistent performance and compliance with client requirements.

Kaolin - A Mineral of Many Possibilities
Kaolin plays a vital role across numerous industries, thanks to its unique chemical and physical characteristics. Its natural whiteness, fine particle size, plasticity, and inert behavior across a wide pH range make it ideal for use in ceramics, paper, plastics, paints, fiberglass, and even pharmaceuticals.

Its low abrasiveness, softness, and thermal/electrical insulation properties contribute to its broad applicability. Among its largest commercial uses are in high-grade ceramics and as a coating and filler material in paper manufacturing.

Key Applications

Ceramics
When heated above 1000oC, kaolin transforms into mullite and glass, becoming a critical component in the production of "whitewares" like tableware, sanitary ceramics, and tiles. It enhances strength, plasticity, and thermal stability, minimizing deformation during firing. Its low iron and titanium content ensures a brilliant white finish.

In sanitary ware production, kaolin helps create stable, flowable casting slips and contributes to the strength needed before firing the heavy molded forms.

Paints and Coatings
Both hydrous and calcined kaolin are used in paint formulations to enhance optical clarity, durability, and texture. Calcined kaolin improves opacity, whiteness, and scrub resistance, and serves as a cost-effective partial substitute for titanium dioxide (TiO2).

Paper Industry
Kaolin functions as both a filler and coating agent in paper production. It enhances brightness, opacity, printability, and surface smoothness while reducing the need for expensive wood pulp. Coated papers, such as magazine pages, art prints, and packaging materials, benefit from its gloss and visual appeal.

Plastics
In plastic applications, kaolin enhances surface finish, dimensional integrity, and resistance to heat and chemicals. It is widely used to control flow characteristics and improve mechanical and thermal performance. In PVC cables, it enhances electrical properties, and in engineering plastics, it plays a role in producing automotive components and specialty films.

Refractories
Kaolin is an essential ingredient in refractory products that withstand high temperatures-used in furnace linings, kilns, boilers, and even aerospace thermal shields. It imparts heat resistance and structural integrity to these applications.

Fiberglass
In fiberglass production, kaolin acts as a strengthening agent. It ensures uniform fiber distribution in plastics used across industries-from automotive and marine to electronics and aerospace. It is also integral to insulation materials and structural components made from fiberglass.

Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics
Pharmaceutical-grade kaolin, processed to British and European Pharmacopoeia standards, is used in medicinal applications, including digestive aids and poultices. It is also found in skincare products, therapeutic baths (Thalassotherapy), dietary supplements, and lung disorder treatments.

Rubber
Kaolin strengthens rubber compounds, improving durability and stiffness. Especially in thermoplastic elastomers and high-voltage insulation materials, calcined kaolin enhances performance with or without surface treatment.
